About Charm
My name is Christine, and I was born and raised in New Hampshire, which shaped a somewhat
sheltered worldview. In 2013, I met my former spouse, who is African American, and we
relocated to California for several years where I was immersed in diverse communities. This
experience highlighted my need for a deeper understanding of racial issues and led me to focus
my studies on race, racism, and intersectionality. My goal has been to grasp the impacts of white
supremacy and its effects on various communities.
I've noticed heartening growth in diversity in New Hampshire since my childhood, and I saw
Project STORY in an episode of NH Chronicle. It was inspiring and I knew I wanted to help in
some way. I'm dedicated to my role in helping to enrich the lives of children whose parents have
immigrated here seeking better opportunities. I hold a Master of Public Administration with a
concentration in Policy Analysis, along with a graduate certificate in Grant Writing,
Management, and Program Evaluation.
